Fall Fun!

We just wanted to touch base about the autumn semester as we know things will be looking quite differently with many schools being done primarily online. In thinking about autumn, and knowing that many students will either be staying at home or taking a year off/deferring admission, our Fanshawe Ministry has decided to expand our ministry by inviting ANY young adult to join us this fall. Do know, we (Fanshawe Campus Ministry) are still here for you and continue to support you in your student life in whatever way is best for you. Feel free to reach out anytime.  Be sure to follow us on Facebook at

For our fall programs- we are going to be primarily online for the autumn and will re-evaluate later in the semester to figure out how we will offer programs in January.  Because so many students will be staying at home this fall, we’ve decided to expand our ministry this year to include any young adults- regardless of where you go to school, whether you’re taking a gap year, or have been working. Please invite friends and let us know who we should and could be connecting with  

Our first event for the year will be an online Party, Flying Like a Falcon, held over zoom on Wednesday, September 16th at 7pm. We’ll introduce the ministry, have some fun, and do some giveaways. AND if you register prior to September 1st you’ll receive a Gift Package to your doorstep filled with some fun goodies.

And starting September 28th we will be offering a number of weekly small groups online. We hope something will pique your interest. And if there is something else you wish we’d offer let us know! We do hope to be able to offer a small group in person but that will depend on regulations in September

Hot Potato: A small group on Mondays that will provide you a time to ask hard questions about life, faith, meaning, etc. You can submit questions/topics ahead of time, or bring them up during the meeting

Alpha: this will meet on Tuesdays and will follow the Alpha Canada videos

In Our Midst: On Wednesdays Jenica will offer a noon-time meditation practice of stillness through guided reading, prayer, and silence

Dig Deep: On Thursdays we’ll offer a more traditional Bible Study where we will spend time looking deeper in a particular book/character/theme from the Bible. If there are topics, you’re interested in learning about let us know

In addition to these small groups we’ll be offering Religion & Film where we’ll pick a movie each month to watch and then join together to talk about the movie over popcorn. We’ll also be offering one-on-one conversations over zoom (and in person as we’re able to), we will host virtual office hours Monday-Friday, and will be doing some social events throughout the semester. We will also be offering Collective Kitchen online (stay tuned for how this will work) and each week we’ll post a video introducing a new spiritual discipline you can try/practice.

We hope you’re staying well and again, please feel free to reach out anytime
